Tew Sisters Retreat 2013

We in the Tew clan had a special treat this January. As has become tradition, “Us Girls”, (Martha, Sarah, Maren, Abby, and Ellen) gathered together in Utah for our annual Sister’s Retreat at Bear Lake, leaving the husbands and kids at home. This year Dad was able to join us as well.

At dinner the first night, we realized this was probably the first time we’d had dinner just our original family of 6 in over 15 years. We were laughing so hard and loud that I think we cleared the whole restaurant out! We couldn’t even stop laughing long enough for the family photo.We enjoyed a long weekend holed up in beautiful snowy Bear Lake relaxing, catching up, swimming, yoga-ing, crocheting, dying hair, instamgraming, playing cards, making jewelry, cooking delicious meals together, and of course binge-watching all of season 1 and 2 of Downton Abbey.

We found our way into a cute little chocolate shop.

And we got to celebrate Martha’s 60th Birthday all together. We went out for cheesecake.We all had a wonderful time and all agreed we haven’t laughed so much in our whole lives.
