For Christmas my wonderful daughters and sons got together and dragged out the Greypa Dollhouse I have had in the garage for 11 years. They cleaned it, sanded it, sealed it, changed out the floors and furnished it with new dolls and accessories. Result--a fantastic Christmas present. Now I can play with my grandkids and demonstrate about log cabins, grandpa who made magical things out of scraps of wood, grandmas who made sour dough hotcakes, sleeping in attic rooms without heat, outhouses (ugg), toys of by gone days, hunting, gathering, family traditions, oh and all the other things that will come up. Now I know it isn't as good a gift as a plain old BOX, But I Love IT. Thank you Sarah, Nate, Abby, Brent (who furnished the house), Maren, Mike (who cleaned and refinished it), Ellen, and Stoddard (who made the curtains from Grandma Ruby's material). All you Aunties, come on over and play!

Way cool Martha! I can see it will be put to goooooood use.
Yep, my girls looove it. They were sad to leave it to come back to our house. I have a smaller one in my garage that I'm hoping to make over like this for next Christmas.
