Some very generous people in our ward offered up their apple trees for picking and we jumped at the opportunity! While Bailey was at school Emma & Kate bundled up to gather enough delicous smelling apples to make applesauce! Emma was brave enough to get the really high ones on the ladder while Kate kept chanting "I can't reach mommy, I can't reach". Thanks hugely in part to my parents wonderful garden we have also preserved raspberries, strawberries, green beans, squash, corn, tomatoes/peppers/onions, peaches, pears, and are looking forward to freezing carrots next!
