I had the day off yesterday, so we decided to go to the Cherry Springs Nature Trail to take a walk under the trees. While there we had the unexpected pleasure of being 20 feet from a momma moose and her calf.

Yikes! I've heard those mama mooses can have quite a temper. I'm always taken back by how odd moose look in person. They are so gangaly...silly!
Moose looks skinny. moose like little kids to eat? We had a yearling behind the trees of our back yard this summer. It was fun to see it running from Maren's little wienner dog.
That is sooooo cool! Once we drove to Rexburg and a bigggg moose jumped a fence not faraway. Wish I could have taken pics. Yours are great!
