Tuesday I had 3 finals, starting at 7 am, and I finished out this semester. Its been a particularly difficult one for some reason. And the past few weeks have been pretty stressful with final projects and papers. But now, now I get my reward. A seven week break between semesters. I haven't had more than one week off school in the past year. So I am thrilled. Yea!
Exciting news for me. I got a new job!
And its the job I wanted!
Well its more like an internship. I became aware of a possible internship position for university students with Rexburg City Hall, in the Mayor's office.--For those of you who don't know, I'm studying political science.-
Well, I chatted with the city clerk and Mayor Larson today, and I got the position. I am really excited to get some real experience in government. It looks like I'll be doing office work, answering phones, and possibly helping out with the local government and civic education program the city runs. Or I might be working on a project thats underway to scan and digitize old city ordinances. I don't know yet really. Yeah, I'll just be an intern, but I'm glad to be, its a great time to be.

Doesn't it feel good to NOT have studying on the brain? Summer are rough. Way to stick it out.
