This is for Ellen (since she asked) and any others interested in redecorating blogs. There are lots of fun things you can do, including doing a fun header, fun backgrounds, etc. I like to go to some digital scrapbooking sites and download the free kits so that you get plain and patterned papers, embellishments, and alphabets that all go together. The patriotic theme I currently have on my blog is a conglomeration of 2 digiscrap kits I downloaded. The red star background is a patterned paper and the denim background behind the posts is a plain paper. I create the headers in Macromedia Fireworks. I know that you can do it in other digiscrap softwares as well, some of which you can get online. You have to find a place to post your papers online so that you have a URL to use. I use a personal Google web page because it gives short URLs. Posting it on blogger can give you a super long URL which sometimes causes issues when you try to embed that in your html code.
I'd be happy to help anyone with redecorating your blogs since I think it's really fun. Let me know if you'd like a list of digiscrap sites, info on creating personal Google web pages, or on how to tweak your html code. Call or email me with any questions!
